COURTING: Man in Black Skunk Blanket and Covered Head Courts Woman in a Red Blanket Here the man wears the similar skunk blanket seen in earlier plates (see Plate 9 for discussion). He pulls the blanket over his head, concealing his identity. His leggings and breechclout flaps are made from the same dark stroud cloth with undyed selvedges. The woman's braid falls down her front, and two strands of bead necklaces are visible. Her orange blanket covers her, and beneath it can be seen her blue dress panel ends. Her legs are uncolored, and each angle has four stripes (or �trails�). Her head is level with his, but her feet reach to his shins�either behind him or she is shorter.
