COURTING: Woman in Blue Blanket Faces Man in Dark Blanket

Ethnographic Notes

Vertical COURTING: Woman in Blue Blanket Faces Man in Dark Blanket Although this is more crudely drawn, details show this couple, facing each other, are dressed formally. The woman has her hair braided and falling down her back. She wears three bead necklaces. Her blanket and leggings are blue; her dress and dress tabs, below the blanket, are red. The man wears braids wrapped in otter skin ties. His blanket, one breechclout flap, and leggings are all the same color, dark stroud cloth. The leggings and clout flap have undyed edging. One of the mans breechclout flaps is redthe only variation in his dress.
