Ethnographic Notes

Left Page: Another ego-boosting date with the much older Flat Moccasin Woman. She had been visiting in the tipi of her friend, perhaps named Bear Paw Woman. The artist followed her there (doubtless in the dark of evening), and waited behind the tipi until she came out, when they strolled together for a long while---indicated by the many footprints.

Right Page: The neighbor lady---just to document all of the relevant details for his young associates ---was perhaps that pistol-packin' mama, Woman Who Shoots.
