COURTING: Couple Wrapped in Red Blanket before a Blue and Red Tipi; Blank Page

Ethnographic Notes

Right: Blank Left: A couple wrapped in a single red blanket stand before a tipi. The tipi has the lower two-thirds painted blue and the top one-third is painted red. It is divided into four quarters by pencil lines. Faces of the man and woman are blank and legs as well as feet are like ungulates. The man, to the dominant right, has one red Stroud clout flap showing beneath the blanket and one braid on his left shoulder. The woman has blue leggings showing below the blanket. Media: Tipi and figures are outlined in pencil with fill of red water color, blue crayon and red crayon.
