This legal notice informs Kansans who sustained losses during 1878. This is "Resolve Seven of Senate Joint Resolution No. 1." The announcement announces the state Commission "will meet in Dodge City, in Ford county, and remain in session not to exceed twenty days, beginning on the first Tuesday in May, 1879. Second place of meeting at Hays City, Ellis county, to commence as soon as possible after adjournment from dodge City. Third place of meeting at Norton Center, Norton county, to commence as soon as possible after adjournment from Hays City." Commissioners listed are R. E. Stevenson, A. W. Mann, and W. R. Adams.
