Vertical COURTING: A Woman in Third Phase Navajo chief's Blanket Stands with Man in Black Skunk Blanket The woman has a long wrapped braid falling down her front shoulder. Her striped blanket covers her, with dots across one of the upper stripes. She has three stripes or "trails" on her ankles. The man wears a long German silver hairplate ornament with one immature golden eagle feather attached between the second and third plates. He wears a hairpipe breastplate. His dark blanket has one stripe down the back (see discussion of the �skunk� blanket, Plate 9).
