Details include two large, inwardly curved horns, split hooves, nose and shaggy fur on front legs and head. The short tail arcs downward, and the hump is prominent. Most individual buffalo in these Dodge City 1879 ledgers are male. Other artists depict male genitalia, the Porcupine ledger artist does not.
